Approvals capture human judgment as durable decision evidence. When policies return requires_exception, approvals provide a mechanism for human oversight.

How Approvals Work

When policies return requires_exception, approvals:

• Are requested with context about what needs approval
• Are delivered via Slack, email, or webhook
• Capture who approved/rejected, when, and why
• Become part of the decision trace
